Phi Vo
Principal & Director | Lead law wrangler

Phi is an unstoppable go-getter and law wrangling force. But don’t let the tenacity and serious credentials fool you, she’s also a compassionate and supportive advisor.

As Director of Catalyst Migration, she leads the “big ideas” department and is responsible for ensuring that the team remains ahead of the shifting landscape of Australia’s immigration system and delivers exceptional service, advice and support to clients.

  • A highly regarded Lawyer (named in the 2019 Women Lawyers Association of QLD list of inspiring women lawyers and 2021 Doyles Guide – Leading Immigration Lawyer in Qld) and previously, Registered Migration Agent (MARN 0851263), Phi spent 10 years in senior roles for big guns like Colin Biggers & Paisley, MinterEllison and Deloitte.

After creating an immigration services practice from the ground up with Colin Biggers & Paisley she decided to forge her own path and founded Catalyst Migration.

Phi has worked all over Australia with national and multinational companies in various industry sectors.

She has:

  • led teams and mobilised workforces for large scale projects
  • developed in house visa and compliance programs
  • managed successful responses to the Department on monitoring requests, notices of intention to take action and requests for Ministerial Intervention
  • managed applications for merits review with the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT).

Phi was a serious contender to appear on The Great Australian Bake Off back in 2016, is a hiking enthusiast, grows rare fruit trees and is a demon in the kitchen.
